Berkshire Summer Arts Festival

A special art show featuring 200 juried artists, live demonstrations, music, gourmet food and entertainment. The festival runs rain or shine, under tents and inside the air-conditioned lodges. There will be a wide range of fine art and
fine crafts, all juried, in media such as glass, wood, clay, leather, fiber, jewelry, metal, 3-D and 2-D mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. The styles range from classic to contemporary; functional to fanciful; fine jewelry to found objects, all on display in the lush summer setting at Ski Butternut. Canoe Trip on the Housatonic River

Program will launch at the Housatonic River - Decker Boat Launch, Lenox. Watch for frogs, fish, heron, muskrats, and signs of beavers along the meandering Housatonic River. This leisurely paddle will take us through the Housatonic Valley Wildlife Management Area. Join us to learn about the natural history of the waterway that is the heart of the Berkshires. Children must be at least 10 years of age, accompanied by an adult and know how to swim. Admission is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. The Children's Activity Garden

The Children’s Activity Garden at the Berkshire Botanical Garden will open July 1. This year’s theme, OH! AAH! PLANTS! focuses on the WOW factor of plants. This interactive garden will bring children closer to nature, plants and their own environment. Bathtub Botany, a Stumpery and a Sensory Walk are just a few of the many activities offered every day in the garden. Programs will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning July 6 and continuing through August 31, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. The Berkshire Botanical Garden is located at the intersection of Route 102 & 183 in Stockbridge, MA. Each week’s activities will focus on how amazing plants are; the importance of plants to our daily lives, including growing and harvesting garden goodies to eat, experimenting with plant structure, exploring the culture of plants, and making garden projects collected from the wild. Enjoy a fun and informative hour with your children in a safe, child friendly atmosphere within the beautiful surroundings of the Berkshire Botanical Garden. Bring a picnic and stay the afternoon. Housatonic River Greenway Hike

Join the Housatonic Valley Association’s Land Protection Director and A.M.C Hike Leader Elaine LaBella for a 3.8-mile, leisurely paced 4-hour hike through woodlands and along Lake Zoar.
